Microwave Rice In Just 8 Minutes

Steamed Rice

Cooking rice in the microwave is quick and simple. Just rinse the rice, add water, and place it in a microwave-safe container with a lid. Microwave it for a few minutes, and you’ll have soft, delicious rice with minimal effort. Try this easy method for perfect rice every time or when you don’t have a rice cooker!

Ingredients

  • 1/2C rice
  • 3/4C water

Instructions

Pour half a cup of rice into a large cup (one serving).

Add one cup of water, rinse the rice well, and drain.

  

Put the rice back in the cup and add ¾ cup of water.

Let it soak for 30 minutes for better texture.

Place the cup in a bowl and cover with a plate to avoid overflow. Microwave for 5 minutes.



Let it sit for 1 minute without opening the lid.

Pour overflowed water from the bowl back into the cup and microwave for another 2 minutes.



After 2 minutes

Enjoy perfectly cooked, fluffy, and delicious rice!
