Watercress Namul (Korean Side Dish)

If you’ve never tried this, it might surprise you. Watercress
is refreshing like minari, but even more fragrant. It’s light, nutty, and very
easy to prepare — a perfect everyday side dish.
Ingredients
- 6 oz (180 g) watercress
Seasoning
- 1.5 tbsp Yondu (vegetable seasoning)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp garlic
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds

Instructions
1. Add 1 tsp salt to boiling water and blanch the watercress
for about 2 minutes.
2. Rinse in cold water and drain well.
3. Cut into bite-sized pieces.
4. Add Yondu, sesame oil, and garlic.
5. Gently toss everything together.
Tips
- Don’t overcook — keep it fresh and vibrant
- Crush sesame seeds right before adding for better aroma
- Toss gently to keep the texture light
