Korean-style baby spinach salad the perfect side dish for any meal!

 

Baby Spinach Korean Salad 

When you go grocery shopping at Costco or other stores, you can find a lot of spinach products. Baby spinach is one that I sometimes buy. I tried making a delicious Korean-style salad with it a few days ago and it was so good that I've been eating it almost every day. Would you like to see how to make it?

Baby Spinach Korean Salad

Ingredients:

  • 7 oz. (200 g) Baby spinach,
  • 1/4 onion,
  • some bell peppers,
  • 2 cloves of garlic,
  • a few pine nuts
  • Seasoning:
  • 1.5T fish sauce,
  • 1/2T plum extract or 1t sugar,
  • 2T sesame oil,
  • 1T red pepper flakes,
  • 1/2T minced garlic,
  • 2T sesame seeds

Instructions

1. Slice a bit of onion and some bell peppers thinly. Finely mince 2 cloves of garlic. 


2. Wash the baby spinach with water. And remove excess water before using it.



3. How to make the seasoning

Add 1.5T of fish sauce, 1/2T of plum extract, 2T of sesame oil, 1T of gochugaru (red pepper flakes), 2T of sesame seeds, and 1/2T of minced garlic. Mix well.

4. Add the sliced vegetables and the baby spinach. Mix well gently.



5. Lastly, add your favorite nuts to upgrade both the nutrition and taste.


Very delicious baby spinach salad is done! It's perfect to enjoy with rice!

Notes

  • If you don’t have bell peppers, you can skip them.
  • I used plum extract instead of sugar. If you don't have it, add 1 teaspoon of sugar instead.
