DELICIOUS Beef Mushroom Rolls: QUICK & EASY Recipe!

 Beef Mushroom Rolls

Annyeonghaseyo! Hello K Friends! Today, I'd like to introduce a dish called Beef Mushroom Rolls. Recently, I tried steaming beef and vegetables together and dipping them in sauce, and it was so delicious. Hope you enjoy this recipe!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz (230g) beef for shabu-shabu or bulgogi
  • 3 oz (90g) enoki mushrooms
  • 5oz (150g) mung bean sprouts
  • some chives
  • 1 red chili pepper
  • some onion
  • half a lemon
  • some zucchini and carrot (optional)

Sauce

  • 3T soy sauce
  • 2T lemon juice or 1T vinegar,
  • 1T honey
  • sliced onion
  • chili pepper
  • Trim the ends of the enoki mushrooms like this.

Instructions

Cut the chives into 2.5-inched lengths. If you have zucchini, slice half of zucchini and carrot thinly.

Place the thinly sliced beef on a cutting board or plate and put a bit of chives and some enoki mushrooms on top. Roll the ingredients from the end.

Once you've rolled all the beef, put them in the steamer.

Place a layer of mung bean sprouts on the bottom of the steamer.

Place the beef mushroom rolls and add some zucchini and carrot on top of the mung bean sprouts. Sprinkle a bit of salt and pepper according to your taste.

When the water starts boiling, place the steamer on top. Cover the steamer with the lid and steam for about 5 minutes.

How to make a dipping sauce

  • A bit of onion
  • 1 green onion
  • half of red chili pepper
  • 3T soy sauce
  • 1T honey
  • 2T lemon
  • 1t sesame seeds
  • Mix everything well

After 5 minutes the beef and mushroom rolls are perfectly steamed!

How was today's recipe? I used to always grill or boil beef, but trying it steamed like this not only gives it a great taste but also seems to be healthier. Hope you give it a try! I’ll see you next week. Thank you! Bye bye!

Notes

  • If you don't have enoki mushrooms, you can thinly slice your favorite mushrooms and use them instead.
  • From the Korean market, I purchased thinly sliced beef specifically for shabu-shabu, but it should also work well as bulgogi meat.
  • If chives are unavailable, simply go with enoki mushrooms instead.
  • If you don't have a lemon, you can add 1 tablespoon of vinegar.
