Hello K Friends! I hope you all have a healthier and happier year. Do you like Korean side dishes? Today, I'm going to introduce four Korean side dishes that you should definitely try. They taste great and are incredibly easy to make. Happy New Year!! 🎉 🎊

#1 Super Easy Bulgogi

  • 2 pinches black pepper
  • 1t minced garlic
  • 1t chopped scallions
  • A bit ginger
  • A bit of onion

Instructions

The beef for bulgogi was purchased thinly sliced from Costco. You don't need to cut it finely if it's thinly sliced like bulgogi. Cutting it about three times should be enough.

Place the beef in a bowl. Add

  • 1 1/2T soy sauce,
  • 1T sugar,
  • 1T cooking wine,
  • 1/2t sesame oil,
  • 2 pinches black pepper,
  • 1t minced garlic,
  • 1t chopped scallions,
  • a bit of ginger,
  • a bit of onion. Mix well.

Place the marinated beef on a pre-heated pan. Ensure the beef doesn't clump together. As the beef releases its juices, and let the moisture evaporate as you cook.

When the beef is almost done, add the sliced green onions and sprinkle some sesame seeds.

You can serve it in a bowl and enjoy it while it's warm.

#2 Stir-Fried Kimchi

Ingredients:

  • 7 oz (200g) sliced kimchi
  • 1T cooking oil
  • 1tsp sugar
  • 1tsp sesame seeds

Squeeze the kimchi to remove excess moisture and cut it into smaller pieces. For a flavorful stir-fry, use well-fermented kimchi.

Pour about 1 tablespoon of oil into a preheated pan. Add the kimchi. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar. Stir-fry on medium-high heat until most of the moisture evaporates.

When the moisture has reduced, add about 1 teaspoon of sesame seeds for a richer flavor. Sprinkle some green onions. Once done, transfer to a plate. Enjoy delicious stir-fried kimchi!

# 3 Easy Egg Roll

Ingredients:

  • 4 eggs

  • A bit cooking oil
  • 1 sliced green onion

Crack about 4 eggs into a bowl. Add about 2 pinches of salt. Whisk the eggs well.

Pour a little oil into a preheated pan and spread it evenly with a kitchen towel. Pour the egg mixture into the pan and spread it out thinly. Start with medium heat, then reduce to low heat. Slowly cook the eggs.

After 20 minutes, After soaking, do not rinse the cucumber but squeeze out the excess water.

  • 1t vinegar
  • a bit of minced garlic
  • 1t minced green onions
  • 1t sesame seeds
  • half sliced red chili pepper. Mix well.

Notes

  • If you'd like to reduce washing, place kimchi in a large bowl and cut with scissors.
  • To make a good egg roll, I recommend using a non-stick pan.
  • Green onions not only add color but also reduce the eggy smell when you make egg rolls.
  • Since the sliced cucumbers have been soaked in salt water, there's no need to season with additional salt. However, if you find it a bit bland, you can add a pinch of salt.
