Hello, everyone! Today, I'm excited to introduce you to a popular Korean dish: Spam Egg Rice Balls. These rice balls are made with savory Spam, soft eggs, and seasoned rice, creating a simple yet incredibly delicious snack. Perfect for lunch boxes or picnics, they are sure to impress. Spam Egg Rice Balls

Ingredients

  • 2 bowls rice
  • 6oz (170g) Spam
  • 4 eggs
  • 1T soy sauce
  • 1T sugar
  • 1T water
  • 1T sesame seeds
  • 1/2T sesame oil
  • some gim flakes

Instructions

Put 4 eggs in a bowl and add 2 pinches of salt. Mix well.


Heat a pan with 1 tablespoon of oil, pour in the egg mixture, and make scrambled eggs. Once done, place them in a plate to cool.



Dice half a can of Spam into small cubes. Cook in a preheated pan over medium-high heat for a few minutes. 


Add 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp sugar, and 1 tbsp water to the cooked Spam. Cook until glazed, then cool on a plate.



Combine 2 bowls of rice, scrambled eggs, Spam, 1 tbsp sesame seeds, and 1/2 tbsp sesame oil in a large bowl. Mix well. Shape the mixture into round rice balls with your hands.


Optionally, mix in finely chopped or crushed roasted gim for added flavor. Firmly press the rice balls to ensure they hold together.
