and refreshing broth, there's nothing better than a seafood and meat-filled
tang-guk. This hearty soup is packed with nutritious ingredients that come
together to create a deep and flavorful dish, and it's easy enough for anyone
to make.
Ingredients
- 5 oz (150g) radish (thinly sliced)
- 5 oz (150g) tofu, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 oz (80g) shrimp
- 2 oz (50g) octopus (optional)
- 2 oz (50g) squid, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 3 oz (80g) thinly sliced beef (optional)
- 2 oz (50g) mussels and clams
- 8-9 cups kelp-soaked water
- 1/2 tablespoon salt
- 2 tablespoons cooking wine
- 2 tablespoons tuna fish sauce
Instructions
Step 1
Slice the radish thinly and
prepare the tofu, shrimp, squid, and beef by cutting them into bite-sized
pieces.
Step 2
In a pot, add 8 cups of kelp-soaked water and 1/2 tablespoon of salt. Add all the ingredients except for the tofu. Start cooking the ingredients in cold water to extract the seafood flavors. Add 2 tablespoons of cooking wine to reduce any fishy smell.
Step 3
Once the soup starts boiling, skim off the foam, then add the tofu and 2 tablespoons of tuna fish sauce. Taste the broth and adjust the seasoning with more salt if needed.
Clear and refreshing seafood soup is done!
