Mu Namul, Stir-Fried Radish

Showcasing the natural sweetness and soft texture of radish, mu namul is an easy side dish anyone can make. Its clean yet rich flavor pairs perfectly with rice. Try making this healthy dish with just a few simple ingredients!

Ingredients:

  • Half of a small radish
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon perilla oil (or sesame oil)
  • 1 tablespoon ground sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup Kelp water or water

Instructions:

Step 1

Slice the radish thinly, then stack the slices and cut them into thin strips.


Step 2

Heat a pan and add the radish strips. Sprinkle 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Stir-fry without oil. (Tip: The moisture from the radish will make it cook without needing oil.)

Step 3

Add a little kelp water, cover the pan, and cook over medium-low heat for 3 minutes.

Step 4

Once the radish is slightly softened, add 1 tablespoon of perilla oil (or sesame oil), 1 tablespoon of ground sesame seeds, and 1 tablespoon of chopped green onions. Stir everything together.

Your light and tasty radish side dish is ready!
