Rice Paper Noodles
Hi everyone! Rice paper noodles are trending in Korea
right now — and after seeing them so many times, I finally gave them a try. And
wow… they were even better than I expected! Today, I’ll show you how to make
this fun and delicious dish at home. Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients
- For the noodles:
- About 8-10 large rice paper sheets
- For the sauce:
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onions
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground sesame seeds
- 1 or 1 1/2 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter
Instructions
Step 1: Make the Noodles: Soak 3 large sheets of rice paper in water for about 10 seconds, just until they’re soft. Stack the softened sheets, then cut them into wide strips with scissors or a knife. Repeat until you’ve used about 8–10 sheets total. Leave the noodles in water while you make the sauce — they’ll get nice and chewy.
Step 2: Make the Sauce: In a small saucepan, heat 3 tablespoons of oil over medium heat. In a bowl, put 2 tablespoons of green onions, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic,1 tablespoon gochujang or gochugaru, 1 tablespoon sugar,1 1/2 tablespoon oyster sauce, 1 tablespoon peanut butter, 1 tablespoon ground sesame seeds. Pour hot oil and mix well
Step 3: Toss the Noodles: Drain the noodles and place
them in a bowl. Pour the sauce over the top and toss gently until everything is
well coated. Add a little cilantro or parsley on top if you’d like — it adds a
fresh touch. The spicy, nutty-flavored rice paper noodles are done!
