6-Minute Microwave Bibimbap — So Easy, So Delicious! πŸ˜πŸ˜‹

Super Easy Bibimbap 

Bibimbap is one of Korea’s most beloved dishes, but many people think it’s hard to make at home. Don’t worry — today, I’ll show you a super simple version using just a microwave! With a few fresh veggies and some rice, you can make a healthy, comforting meal in no time. Perfect for busy days or when you don’t want to turn on the stove.

Ingredients (Serves 2)

  • 2 handfuls of soybean sprouts
  • ½ zucchini
  • ¼ carrot
  • 100g (3.5 oz) thinly sliced beef (or mushrooms)
  • 1 tbsp cooking wine
  • 1 tbsp tuna fish sauce (or soy sauce)
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • Salt & black pepper
  • 2 handfuls of spinach
  • 2 eggs (optional)
  • Cooked rice (2 bowls)
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds
  • ½ tbsp gochujang (Korean red pepper paste)

Instructions

Step1

Rinse the soybean sprouts. Thinly slice the zucchini and carrot into matchsticks.

 

Step 2

In a microwave-safe dish, add sprouts, zucchini, carrot, and sliced beef (or mushrooms). Season with salt, pepper, 1 tbsp cooking wine, 1 tbsp tuna sauce (or soy sauce), and 1 tsp garlic. Cover and microwave for 5 minutes.

Step 3 

After 5 minutes, add 2 handfuls of spinach on top and microwave for 1 more minute.

Step 4

Scoop warm rice into a bowl. Top with the cooked veggies and beef. Add 1 tbsp sesame oil, sesame seeds, and ½ tbsp gochujang. Mix and enjoy!
